6 Year Old Boy Ejected From Car in Fatal Auto Accident Collision at 7th and Halsted Streets in South Chicago’s Canaryville Neighborhood

South Side Chicago, Illinois – NBCChicago.com reported a tragic and fatal car accident which resulted in the tragic loss of life of a 6 year old child.  The accident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM at the intersection of 7th and Halsted Streets. Two children were ejected during the catastrophic car accident Monday afternoon. The 8 year old boy who was also ejected from the automobile has been listed in “stable condition” at Comer Children’s Hospital.

According to the report by NBCChicago.com, the police who are investigating the fatal car accident stated that the children were in a Ford Expedition and the driver “was unable to come to a stop”, ran a red light at Halsted Street and collided with another vehicle.

No citations had been issued as of Tuesday morning. An investigation remained ongoing.
