Cary M. Stein is the co-managing partner of Stein & Shulman, LLC and specializes in representing individuals who have sustained serious personal injuries. Recently he has been concentrating in representing individuals who have sustained injuries after accidents with uninsured and underinsured motorists. Cary has collected multiple millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients over his 28 plus years of practicing law. He has tried 25 jury cases to verdict and has arbitrated over 500 mandatory and uninsured motorist cases.

During the first two years of his legal career, Cary worked as a criminal defense attorney and was involved in the trial of many major criminal jury cases, including 1 death penalty case. He came to the conclusion that he wanted to spend his career in personal injury where he could fight for the rights of those who were injured and help them obtain justice. He first joined a mid-sized plaintiff’s firm where he learned a great deal while second chairing construction accident cases and handling many of his own files. After two years there, he left to join a high volume plaintiff’s firm where he developed the skills that make him the successful trial attorney that he is today.

His practice areas include auto accidentsslip and fallsbicycle accidentsmedical and nursing home negligence, and work related injuries. Currently, many of Cary’s cases involve uninsured motorist arbitrations. Cary is a graduate of the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He lives in the northern suburbs with his wife and their two children.
