Chasse said that the driver said that he had been drinking and that the man was screaming. Chasse said that he was happy that the vehicle occupants survived the crash and described the scene likesomething out of a movie.
Speeding is a factor in about 90 percent of all run-off-the-road crashes. Other contributing factors include drinking and driving, which is more often a factor in single-vehicle collisions than it is in multiple vehicle collisions, drowsy driving, or distracted driving. These types of crashes are often deadly. In fact, about 20 percent of all people killed in vehicle collisions are killed in single-vehicle accidents.
