MACOUPIN COUNTY, IL- Foxillinois.com reports that a fatal pickup truck accident took place on Thursday, August 2, 2018,on Shipman Road in Carlinville. The collision, which involved a tractor-trailer, occurred at about 5:31 a.m.
The victim, 35-year-old Jarrod Adams died at the scene of the accident. Adams was traveling north on Shipman Road and collided with a tractor-trailerthat was heading in the opposite direction. The driver of the semi did not sustain any injuriesin the collision.
The Illinois State Police are investigating the crash.

When fatal collisions involved a large truck and a smaller vehicle, the person or people killed were traveling in the smaller vehicle 97% of the time. Most two-vehiclecollisions that killed truck drivers were collisions between two trucks.
