WOODSTOCK, IL- According to abc7chicago.com, three men died in a crash that involved a 1994 Jeep Cherokee leaving the roadway and striking a tree off the side of Lily Pond Road on Sunday, December 16, 2018. The victims were all men in their early 20s.*
Three of the vehicle occupants were declared dead at the scene while a fourth person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The incident occurred at about 3:30 in the morning.
The Jeep was not equipped with airbags and the police report that the victims were not using seat beltsat the time of the incident.
The crash is still under investigation.
Fixed object crashes are accidents in which a vehicle leaves the road and hits an object. These crashes are often severe.
