Driver Loses Control of Car in Tragic Fatal Car Accident in Polo, Illinois

Polo, Illinois – There was a tragic car accident that occurred the past Monday. The fatal accident was caused by snowy conditions. The accident report, found at MyStateLine.com, states that a woman had lost control of her vehicle and crossed over to the opposite side of the road due to icy and wintery driving conditions. She lost her life at only age 26.

The accident occurred along Illinois Route 26 at Edgewood Road in the town of Polo, Illinois. The accident occurred at approximate 3:45 PM o Saturday afternoon. The accident victim was driving a Dodge sedan and had two occupants in the car with her at the time of the tragic accident. The youngest passage was 3 years of age.

All of the accident victims were taken by ambulance to the local hospital for medical treatment. It was reported that the driver had succumbed to her injuries while at the hospital and was pronounced dead.

The car that was struck by the Dodge had 4 occupants including three children. Fortunately the passengers in the other car were all treated at the hospital and they are expected to make a recovery. The police who have investigated the crash scene are stating that the snow and icy had caused the driver to slide into the other, oncoming lane resulting in the tragic accident.
