Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Bridgeview

Tuesday evenings a pedestrian was hit by a car and was killed in the southwest side of Bridgeview.

Ray Hanania, the Bridgeview spokesperson, stated that a person who was either bicycling or walking was hit by a car and killed at the 87th Street Bridge in between 78th Avenue and Oketo Avenue. The fatal pedestrian accident in Bridgeview occurred at around 6:50 p.m.. The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. Read More.

The Medical Examiner’s Office in Cook County later confirmed that the pedestrian was indeed fatality injured by means of a hit and run accident with an automobile. The Medical Examiner’s Office would not release the name of the victim of the tragic fatal pedestrian accident until the family of the deceased was notified.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office performed a “cause of death” autopsy today and did indeed rule the cause of death to be “death by multiple blunt force injuries.”

Although the death has been ruled an accident at this time, the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody according to Mr. Hanania.
