CHICAGO, IL- The chicago.suntimes.com writes that a grey vehicle struck and injured a person on Sunday night, December 30, 2018, in the South Side neighborhood, Chatham. The incident took place at about 9:14 in the evening.*
The car was described as a grey 2018 Dodge Challenger. The car hit a man who was crossing the road at the intersection of South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East 76thStreet. After striking the pedestrian, the vehicle sped away from the scene leaving the victim in the road.
According to the Chicago Police, the victim sustained life-threatening injuries.
The front bumper with the vehicle’s license plate still attached, and pieces of the vehicle’s grill were found at the crash scene. The vehicle had Illinois plates with the number “AY65420.”
Police are still searching for the suspect andare asking that anyone with information about the crash come forward and report to the Major Accident Investigation Unit.
