DECATUR, IL – Foxillinois.com writes that a serious crash took place on Interstate 72 last weekend on Saturday, November 24, 2018. The man driving the vehicle, 27-year-old Paris Mathew Williams of Decatur died on Monday, November 26, at about 7:18 in the HSHS St. John’s Hospital from injuries that he suffered in the accident.
A passenger in the vehicle, 29-year-old Marshae Robinson of Decatur died from the injuries that she suffered in the crash. Another passenger, 22-year-old Shakeia Stewart, suffered injuriesin the crash and was taken to the hospital.
The collision involved just one vehicle, a white Chevrolet Malibu. The Malibu was traveling east on Interstate 72 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Malibu spun and then struck a tree off the right side of the road.
The crash is still under investigation.
