Wrong way crashes are typically head-on or sideswipesthat happen at high speeds.
The State of Illinois devised a comprehensive plan to reduce wrong-waycrashes in 2014. The plan calls for taking measures to eliminate wrong-waydriving. Those measures include better signs, revamped roads, driver education, and reducing behaviors like drunk driving and distracted driving.
