Motorcyclist Dies in Stephenson County, Illinois, Crash

STEPHENSON COUNTY, IL. – According to wifr.com, a motorcyclist died June 13 after being involved in a crash on Route 20 in Stephenson County, Illinois.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. on June 13, according to Illinois State Police Troopers, 27-year-old motorcyclist, of Freeport, Illinois, was traveling east on U.S. Route 20 on a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle and attempted to exit onto Illinois Route 75 in Stephenson County. His motorcycle reportedly left the ramp and crashed into an embankment.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital in Rockford, Illinois, where he was pronounced dead. The Winnebago County Coroner reports the motorcyclist died from blunt force injuries to the head, chest, and abdomen. The cause of the accident is not yet known, and authorities are still investigating. It does not appear any other vehicles or people were involved in the accident.

An obituary says the motorcyclist worked at a manufacturing and lawn care company. He loved riding his motorcycle, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. He was a great father to all of his children.

Services are planned for the motorcyclist is June 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freeport, Illinois.
